Wolf small magnum primers

I've recently had several misfires with Wolf small rifle magnum primers in a 6mm BR with Lapua brass. The first time it happened was several months ago and I posted for any recommendations. I made certain that the primers were firmly seated until they bottomed out, etc. The same problem just reocurred the other day at the range. I've never had a misfire with CCI 450s and went with Wolf because of the price, availibility and reputation. The firing pin spring is an extra power spring. What gives?

I got some of the wolf small rifle primers a few months back when I couldnt find anything else and didnt have any luck. They where over sized and deformed when seated. I was using lc brass in 223 and removed the crimp. I used CCI small rifle primes with no problem.

=====================================

I had a few misfires when I first started using the Wolf Lg. Rifle
primers - then I started seating them with my press. I still have gotten one or two misfires in about 500 rds. which is not good during a match. Fed primers are still hard to get and I have 5,000 Wolf so I'll try to get by with them for awhile.

Not one misfire in over 18 months and they match or beat my Federal primer accuracy.

I agree with JJ,
My Wolf SR Mag primers have been excellent
Good price and currently no FTF in 2300 rounds
Bought 5000 on sale a Grafs and am almost 1/2 way through them. Very pleased.

I bought some wolf primers also and didn't have any problems until this last batch that I loaded(all the primers came from the same lot). I didn't have any FTF but have had a few hang fires. The only difference in the loading procedure was the time between priming and loading. All the previous rounds were loaded immediately after priming and I had absolutely no problems. The rounds that I had problems with sat in my shop for a couple of weeks after priming before I got around to loading them. We have real high humidity here and I'm wondering if these primers may be susceptible moisture. Just a thought.

I've used quite a few of these in my BR rifle. After I prep my cases I prime them. I let them set for a month before I load them at times. I doesn't seem to be a factor. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it can be quite humid.
