I wanted to get out yesterday and try and up my tally on the ground hogs.
Got to the 1st farm about 12:30pm and started glassing. Didn't see anything so I decided to call my hunting buddy. Talked for about 5 min. and spotted one in a field eating. Told my buddy I had to go and got set up and dispatched him.Had to shoot under a fence.Shot was about 125yds.
After that I decided to take a walk over by the barns and glass some of the lower fields. As I was glassing,I spotted one making it's way from inside one of the barns to it's hole. We have seen him before and named him Speedy for how fast he is. I figured he would come back out of his hole to see where I was and he did just that.
Nailed him at about 25yds.
Decided to go to another farm after that. Once set up on the new farm,I started glassing but it was quiet. Took a small cat nap for about 20min. Started glassing again and spotted one in a rock/brush pile sitting on a log taking a look see.Got on him and smack..Flipped him right off the log. Didn't feel like climbing into the brush so I didn't get a pic of him.

Soon after,I spotted one behind me in a part of the field that had just been mowed.
Distance was 285yds.
It was slow after that but finally spotted one feeding in front of another brush pile. Brush pile to left of woods.
This was the long shot of the day. Busted him at 481yds.
Brings my total for the year to 164 dead hogs.All in all another good day in the fields.
