I remember meeting George a couple of times when I was having Kelbly’s build my first competition rifle in 2013, a 1000 yard benchrest gun. He seemed like a real nice fella. It was really nice to be able to meet somebody that did so much for the sport and had such a great career as he did. His children and grandchildren in the business are certainly the best. And that is a testament and true reflection of who George was. Prayers sent for the family.

Sad to hear. He was always gracious and fun to talk to.
We were at a 1K match at Tom Sarver's range years ago. We talked for what seemed like hours. It was like having a conversation with my father.
I think Wally Hart is now the last living founder of what we know as benchrest.
