Winchester SR primers and BL-C(2) for AR loads

Does anyone have experience using Winchester small rifle primers and BL-C(2) for AR loads?
I have always used Rem 7-1/2 primers but they just don't seem to be available other than at Gunbroker.
Powders I have used are Varget, Benchmark, 8208xbr.
I have found some BL-C(2) powder but have never used it.
I load 204R and 17Rem and 17-204
Thanks in advance for sharing your good or bad experience.

I had problems with them 20 years ago. AR bolts and firing pins are cheap so blaze away. I will never use a Winchester primer in a bolt gun.

What were the problems you had?
The ARs I have assembled are not for high volume blazing. I prefer the auto loader for the follow up shot, and the 17 and 20 cal for the low recoil. Squirrel, pig, and coyote control.

I load about 5,000 rounds of AR a year , and use Benchmark and Winchester SRP in them . Haven't had any issues with any of them .Mostly Win cases , but some LC and Rem , also . My Rem 7-1/2 BR go to my TR .308 .

Since the Win SRP is thinner than the Rem 7 1/2 and the CCI 450 and 41 I shoot them in lower pressure loads.

Regarding the experience of @Walt Krafft , I've had failures at the rounded corners with:
Win LRP
Rem 9 1/2 from years ago when they had a lot of issues
Rem 7 1/2 both the older ones that were copper colored and newer ones that are gold colored. Never a good thing and always leaves a divot in the bolt face.

Measure the cup thickness, do not believe they are the same as the thickness of the 7.5 Rem or the CCI #41's or 43's. Those are best for any of the AR's or high pressure loads in any rifle.

I've run every brand srp with my ar15 loads w blc2, w748, h335. They have all worked good by the trailer full.
Never had a primer issue with any of them

A big Christmas Eve thank you to all that have offered their input.
I have been searching for dimensional and thickness data on the CCI #41 primers. No luck so far.
This is the best I was able to find, but doesn't include the #41 primer. Are the BR4 and #41 the same?

The best AR primer I have found is a CCI Small Rifle (400 I believe). If you are having pierced primers change the firing pin until it quits.

I tried BL-C2 in my AR's but I was not impressed. I use RL-15 with 75 grain bullets in my 1 in 8 twist and Benchmark and H335 with 50 grain bullets in my 1 in 12 twist.

I used the old Winchester SRP not plated for years in my AR-15 Service Rifle for High Power. Then Winchester changed to a plated primer and the first time I tried them I got 2 slam fires when I closed the bolt in standing slow fire. After the second I checked and none of the other rounds had high primers but I finished the string by closing the bolt slowly. The free floating firing pin was coming forward with enough force to ignite the primer. I then switched to Remington 7 1/2's and never had that problem again. several years later I finished the rest of them in a SRP bolt gun and had no issues.

Have you looked in the “Cartridge Guide” section, under .223
Remington? There is a ton of good information on AR reloads and might have some help on using BL-C(2) powder in your reloads.
