Winchester Single Shot?

Does anyone make a single shot action with a Winchester Model 70 foot print? Push feed of course. I have a really nice prone stock I want to put a single shot action in. Thanks.

The Winchester post-64 push feed actions have been used in single shot stocks for quite a while. John Whidden uses them for his Long Range rifles and has been National Champ several times. I use two (one of which John built). With their flat footprint they bed well. You can use either the front two actions screws only and float the tang or add the third (thin walled) pillar. Myself, I use Devcon to partially fill the magazine area topped with a single shot adapter. Talk about solid bedding! I tune the action screws to really fine tune my loads. Master Class stocks or McGee Stocks can make a stock for you.

I did the same thing as watercam. I filled the mag well of a Model 70 CRPF and left just enough room for a single shot follower.

I bought the rifle used and didn't know what kind of stock I had until I looked at the Masterclass website. It's one of their Highpower Prone stocks. It is exactly the same and has an internal magazine. Wow! $900. It has a Winchester action very professionally bedded to it. Possibly done by Masterclass. I was just curious if there was a single shot solid bottom action available with the Winchester foot print.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll give the single shot adapter a try.
