This is a New Haven Model 70 true short action Sporter (not a long action with a mag spacer) in 22-250. It was a one year only offering (1993) in 22-250 with the DBM (detachable box magazine). Bluing is a deep black and is almost perfect. The jeweling on the bolt is beautiful and shows little use. The bottom of the DBM box shows a bit of freckling under the bluing, which isn't uncommon for the DBM models. It wasn't shot much by the original owner, barrel shows some slight use, per borescope. The original factory stock is a very solid synthetic, not the el-cheapo style of the later years. The stock has a couple of very light mars on it (shown) that look worse in the pics than up close. No modifications from original, factory hot glue bedding around the recoil lug is still in place.
I was going to use this as a donor for a hunting rig. But it's just too nice to use where it's going to get scuffed up.
$650 includes a hard case to ship to an FFL. Shipping is additional. Face to face in S.E. South Dakota is possible, too.
