Winchester model 70 issues

I have a 1972 made Winchester model 70 243 that my father-in-law gave me the issue I’m having yesterday I went hunting I got some sand down the barrel and I had to take the bolt out of the barrel before I could hunt I cleared the sand out got as much sand out of the bolt that i could I thought the gun was fine I got out of the words last night and I couldn’t see to unload it so I laid it down in the back of the jeep I unloaded it from the bottom and when I flip the safety forward to jack the shell out of the chamber it fired can someone help me with this issue?

It needs to be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned. Likely sand got into the trigger and/or safety mechanism and caused the malfunction. A gunsmith should do this and while he is at it he can check the chamber and bore to ensure they weren't damaged if they also had sand in it when it fired.
"Got out as much sand as I could" is your issue - you missed some - and it was in a very important place.

Only time I had that happen was when I had a Timney trigger set at 1.5 pounds pull.

Can you open the bolt with the safety in the furthest back position. Just worked on one of these. Plunger for safety positions was slightly stuck. Could be in your case, sand in the bolt safety.
