Does anyone know of a Winchester firearms forum(s)? I have a friend that is looking for a factory 22-250 varmint barrel to fit a 70's vintage model 70. Thanks!

Actually, he bought the rifle new in the 1970's and had purchased a good takeoff barrel a year or two ago for it. He had a "gunsmith" shorten and install it. When he got it back, firing it produced case head separation. The "gunsmith" told him the brass was bad. He tossed the brass and purchased all new. Same scenario. The "gunsmith's" fix, was to make him a rod to put down the barrel and drive the remainder of the case out. My friend was going to have a competent gunsmith install a Brux or Krieger, but since has built a couple different rifles and is now looking for a good takeoff barrel just so the rifle can be sold.
