Does any one know if a win.70 featherweight stock can be inletted to accept a sporter (Standard) action and barrel or is there not enough wood to the sides of the barrel. any thought welcomed and appreciated. also I have heard that only a heavy barrel does well floated and a sporter barrel should be bedded. any thoughts?

Not the modern featherweight. As for bedding sporter barrels, the answer is all barrels are individual, but try free floating first.
thanks Thats what I figured on the float as you have to float before you bed.
