Looking for a little help to put a value on a gun that has been offered to me. It's a Winchester 52c,complete with the original box) with a full set of Redfield Olympic peeps. The original trigger has been replaced with a Canjar trigger and the original trigger is not available,Bummer). It also comes with a Lyman 15X Mil-dot with a fine crosshair in it's original box. The rifle is in 95%+ condition, the owner is also throwing in a couple bricks of Federal ??? ammo that is suppose to be target grade. I remember reading an article a few years back about Winchester 52's, that had some information about each subset,A,B,C,D) and that some of the 52's shot better than others, but I really don't remember how they were rated. The offer price is $1,000 for the package, which sounds pretty fair to me, but I would like some input on what you guy's think of the price and any info on the 52c itself as a shooter. I'm thinking this would make a nice companion to my Model 75 ...........Thanx, Bob Levingston.
