Hi, I have a winchester heavy barrel 220 Swift with a HS Prec stock that I am thinking of rebarreling to 284.
I know I won't be able to use the heavy Burger bullets like the 170's to 180's unless I single feed them.
I this a good option.
The reason for this is the Swift's throat has wore, it still shoots 1/2" groups but I can't seat 52 and 55 gr. bullets like I want to.
I already have a 7mm barrel, 9 twist that I was going to use to build up a 280 Ackley but have fallen out of interest in this project.
What are your opinions.
