Wilson sizing die adjustment??

Is there a way to have the bushing in the Wilson sizing die size more lenght of the neck? My bushing sizes just the top of the neck. Not enough tension. The bullet will slide right through. Don't know why, but if I manually force the bushing onto the neck, about 3/4- 7/8 of the neck lenghth) I have enough tension.
It's a 30br.. The necks are turned to a big .011 thick. It doesn't seem that the brass is thicker down further in the neck. Is there a little taper to these bushings?

All I know is I have to size the neck manually, just by pressing the bushing onto the neck at least half way, and then pull the bushing off as though I'm pulling a bullet..
The obvious solution is a smaller bushing. It's my first experience with Wilson dies though, and I'm wondering if there is something I don't know..

Thank you.. Kelly

IIRC, Wilson bushings are supposed to have about a half a thou taper to them. It sounds like when you push the bushing down far enough that tapered end finally hits the case mouth and squeezes it down. I think if you flip the bushing over you should get the neck tension you want - but I'd order another size smaller anyway. From what I have been told by the local Hunter BR types, one of whom used to work @ Wilson, as its about 20 minutes away) is that the half-thou serves as kind of a short term extra squeeze until you can get a properly sized bushing.

As far as making it squeeze more of the neck... I know you can w/ Redding Type 'S' bushing dies, but I'm not aware of how you'd do that w/ the Wilson hand dies.

I'll second that. Flip the bushing over, and give it a try. That may work. Also - swap to a slightly tighter bushing, they're inexpensive.
