Wilson Seater Blank Bushing Size(22 cal)

What size bushing would a Wilson 22 cal seater blank need? I don't have a blank nor bushings. Would like to get a couple bushings ordered and want to make sure I am covered once I get the blank. Wilson said their finished hole size is .226". I'm guessing I should order a .2258, .2260 and a .2262.

By chance just wondering if anyone made a 22 cal seater recently and curious of the pilot size...

I understand now. I didn't know that you were making a die. I did not read your post properly.
In a nutshell I use a set of soft jaws in my 4 jaw and bore to fit the die. I would indicate a Deltronic pin,
pre drill, taper bore, and use my pusher type reamer holder and ream as I do a barrel. That short a hole, I guess a bushing would be OK, but not needed if you do it my way.

Chuck, I have Deltronic pins for every chamber bore that I ream. They are in a set of 15 I believe in .0001 increments. I was thinking neck bushings. If you insist on using bushings, you need to get a set from your reamer supplier for each bore size. I wouldn't take the blank mfg. dimension as gospel.

Yeah...I'm sure its not what they say it is. I know the 6mm is not. I should have the blank this week and will measure and order what I need from PTG.

Chuck, how will you measure it? That is the beauty of the Deltronic pins.
I just checked mine and 25 are in a set.

Butch...I'd love to have several sets of Deltronic pins, but my budget does not permit them. No doubt, they are good stuff. Out curiosity, what does a set run?

I have a set of Starrett hole gauges I'll measure the ID with. I'll then order the measured size and a + and -. Hopefully that will get me covered.

I get mine from Crescent Gage and Tool. They are right behind one of my shops. To get the right size ask your barrel maker his mean bore dimension. Say a 243-6mm, most have a .237 mean size for example. Your middle pin should be that size with 12 pins on the smaller side and 12 pins on the larger side. That would be from .2358 on the small size and to .2382 on the larger size. that would give you pins in .0001 increments from .2358- .2382.
