wilson case trimmer question

I've got an old wilson case trimmer. It seems that instead of a collet and or a pilot, it uses a case holder. I do not have the case holders yet. My question is, is the case holder all I need to order? The cartridge is 6br.. Thanks tootalloutdoors

The caseholder is all you'll need to trim cases to length. The Wilson works very well for this. If you want "additional features" you should check the Sinclair catalog or web page as they have a lot of extras for the Wilson trimmer.

Those Wilson trimmers are really nice little pieces of gear. Am happily using one to trim several different cartridges - just different case holders. Really nice, consistent results.

Regards, Guy

A big '+1' for upgrading the trimmer w/ some of the goodies out of the Sinclair catalog... stand, shell holder clamp, & micrometer stop are all well worth it to me. That said... mine doesn't get as much use any more as it once did. For the calibers I load in 'bulk' i.e. .223, .308, and 6mm BR I tend to use a Giraud. The Wilson still works like a charm for .243, .270, .30-06,the hunting guns), though.

The Wilson case trimmer has a special set of cutting blades for the .17 caliber casings. While you can use the "regular" cutting head, I think the .17 caliber cutter works better for that small size casing neck.

I have two Wilson case trimmers and I have one set up with the .17 caliber cutter head and the other one is setup with the standard cutting head.

One nice attachment I wish I had was the micrometer adjustment attachment for changing the length setting!!
