Well, the school is over. I think everyone had a great time.

I failed the course again, so I guess I will have to repeat it in 2019 for the 4th time!

Thanks to all who made this happen.

P.S. - That's me, back row above the second R in Sierra in the Black shirt with the white hair and sun glasses.

TEAM I CRP RS.jpg 10 SHOT GROUP.jpg The winning Small Group was a little under 4". 3.8 something I believe.

I shot with Andy Murtagh and we were shooting 142 Sierra's in a 6.5x57 Improved. Bat Action I believe, but not sure of what barrel. 1:8.5 twist though.

Andy worked with me (second year doing so) as well as Al and his wife. Al won best group in his relay, I won best in mine and Al had the high score overall at 49.

Here we are with Andy's rifle.

The lower target is misleading. Andy wanted us to get a lot of trigger time, so Saturday we loaded up a bunch of rounds and just went and shot, 160 rounds without the rig seeing a cleaning rod. With no pit crew on Saturday we posted targets with the center bullseye was used for one shooter and I shot offset to the right and Al's wife shot offset to the left side. This is why the shots are not showing near a target center. This is 9 shots in 4.375 max spread out of 10 shots, but the 10th was about 5 more inches higher than the highest of the 9 and ruined the group.

Bob it was nice seeing you again! As long as you had fun and picked up some secrets along the way, I'm sure Andy told you some.

Bob,

Thanks for the kind words and the breakdown of my rig. It's a 6.5x57 Improved with a million miles on it. Despite having the road wear it shot great. It's a BAT B RBLPRE on a McMillan MBR.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the weekend and thank you for posting the pics.

Kindest regards,

Andy
