Wildcat case forming dies?

I'm looking to do a wildcat cartridge off a short mag case and was wondering who makes a case forming die similar to Skip Otto's? I know pbike257 did some for 308 case sizes but it sounds like he's pretty busy right now. From what I saw, he didn't make anything for short mag cases.

Any leads would be helpful.

300 Ruger Compact Magnum shortened .200" or so and necked down to 6mm or 6.5mm

This is just gonna be a winter/screw around project, something different

What is the largest diameter on the body of the case you are working with? I have a case forming die and a probably 12 bushings (IIRC). I would have to measure the body diameter of the die to see if it would do the RCM case.

The die body is .550 ID. I'll send a PM so you can get an idea of what this die/bushing set is like.

Howdy !

For rudimentary case forming, might you be able to use a .300 Rem Ultra Mag FL die cut shorter ?
Or..... use the same die un-modified, along w/ a " perch "; that will allow the cases to be run up-into the
larger diam die ?

You can make a " perch " out of a shell holder, a flat head machine screw w/ head diam < base diam of the
brass; and a jam nut. The perch method works along w/ a conventional press; like a " Rockchucker ".

Case specs I read for .300 Rem Ultra Mag show shoudler diam and base diams slightly > the case measurements you quoted. The .300 RUM specs I viewed also listed a shoulder angle of 25*.
That being true, it would maker a great shoulder angle for case forming purposes; vs something like a die
w/ a 308 angle.

Howdy, again !

My... I made quite a few typos. The last line of previous message was supposed to read .... " 30 degrees ".
