SOLD Wichita Bolt Action Long Range Pistol, Stainless Shilen Barrel

Single shot pistol similar to Remington XP-100 but built more like Kelby Stolle Panda by WICHITA of Benchrest fame. Triple lug bolt with aluminum receiver and hardened steel insert for bolt lugs. In excellent condition with custom stock similar to a McMillan. Has a real bolt handle with a checkered round bolt knob instead of the butter knife bolt handle many have. Shilen stainless 13" barrel is chambered in 7MM International which is 300 Savage necked down to 7MM. Could be rechambered to 7MM08 very easily as the 7MM08 has the same body but .152 longer neck. It has a lightweight match trigger and a four distance adjustable rear sight. Bolt has a .472 (308) size bolt face and the left side bolt port is a little longer that a XP-100's. In 1980 GUN DIGEST the Rem. XP-100 sold for $239.95 and the Wichita Silhouette Pistol sold for $595.00. On line these pistols are listed for $1200. and up but I'm selling this one for $595.00 plus $45.00 shipping to your FFL. Shoot it as it is or rebarrel to your favorite caliber. It has a 1"x16 thread size. The action alone is worth what I'm asking for the pistol. It looks like it hasn't been shot much and is in great shape. Triple recoil lugs machined on bottom of action.. I was tempted. I had one with the butterknife bolt handle in 7mm IHMSA. Great gun. I won the Missouri State Championship Unlimited class in 1986 with it. The shoot off was 3" targets at 200 meters.
The rear sight has a disk with four indents, so you can adjust a set screw in the indent for each range, and rotate the disk to change ranges.
