Wichita 6ppc rechamber?

Ok so here’s my question. I have a Wichita in 22br that I love. I ended up trading for another one but it’s chambered in 6ppc and I know shit about this cartridge. I know it’s an old rifle but the only info on is James west ppc. I don’t wanna have to neck turn or any other crazy stuff your guys do so why are my options. Rechamber to 6 arc? Any other rounds I can easily reload and get ammo for to rechamber instead. Odds it shoots sammi spec ammo? Get a new barrel? PPC bolt face options? Seriously too much for me lol. I just want to shoot stuff accurately as I can without too much hastle, and rain death on coyotes during calving season.IMG_8109.png

Get a hold of DJ’s brass and ask him to make 100 pieces of brass for it. Then you only have to resize and load for it. It’s a very accurate cartridge.
Do a chamber cast if the neck dimensions aren’t on the barrel.
You could also pull the barrel and have the neck reamed for a “no turn” neck.
I have an old Wichita in 6ppc. The action is built like a tank.

Ya the problem is the neck dimensions weren’t on the barrel that’s what made me just consider either rechamber if or putting a new barrel on since I’d have to have to chamber casted anyway

You can cast the chamber with the barrel on the action. I’ve done it many times. Pretty easy to do. Cerrosafe is easy to get and pretty cheap.

Howdy !

.22BR fits a .308Win bolt face. Is your action a WBR1375 ? If so, it probably has a " flat " bolt face; and is not a " coned " bolt.

If you have access to any " pin gages " of the appropriate size range ; you could check neck area of the chamber using that method.

For info:
I shot my wildcat " .22-35 Remington " in Wichita WBR1375. Fred Sinclair outfitted the action w/ an AR-style extractor; to accommodate the .460"-ish rim diam of the .35 Rem brass. It worked great ! IMHO - trying to run a PPC rim size case w/ a .308 bolt face would be pushing things, but hey.... that's just me.
