Why is the 7mm BR Missing/Excluded @ accurateshooter.com?

Hello, a couple of years ago I ran across accurateshooter.com looking for load info on the 7mm BR when I added it to the silhouette stable. 22BR, 6BR, 30BR, all right out in the open and lots of information.

If you do a search from the home page for 7mm BR, 7BR, 7br, NOTHING COMES UP.

Am I missing something, or is the Seven persona non grata here?

Hey Hamish, its the same with the 25BR and the 270BR. It's kinda like, what's the point? The variances in ballistics aren't enough to justify the cost of a build. Especially, when one can chamber a 30BR for score.
It's about making a big hole, in the smallest place.

A cost-benefit analysis!
Cheers,
Scotsman

The 7mm Br is a bit of a Group selective thing. The silhoutte crowd used to really like them. The benchrest crowd seem to ignore it entirely. I on the other hand used it successfully in an xp-100 and a handy little 700 for a number of years as a primary deerand woodchuck gun.
The trouble seems to me is , all the good accuracy bullets in 7mm tend to be heavy enough to slow a 7mm br. too much. The 7 mm is at its best I believe for hunting in the 120-140 gr. bullets. With newer bullets on the market and IMR8208xbr out I think I would like to persue another xp-100. I miss a compact 4 lb. package that would shoot .5" on demand!

Thanks for the replies gentlemen, though I am not a BR guy, periodically I get some great info here. As mentioned the round in the XP is a delight to shoot and shoot accurately. It just seemed odd that it seemed so pointedly missing from all the great info on the home page. I guess I'll just have to soldier along with my ballistically inferior self. ;) (and the XP)

If it helps you any, my hunting loads all used H322. But now with IMR 8208xbr, I would start there. I had some success with the old AA 2015. But have not used any in awhile.

I would almost swear that the hornady manual has a section on the 7br.

It is listed in about the last 3 volumes of the Hornady books in the pistol sections.

It is listed in edition 5 of the sierra manual. Pm me and I will give you the starting loads.
