Even more enlightening is the article below it regarding disciplining SWAT officers from a nearby community who responded in Florida school shooting "without permission". Typical bureaucrats in charge. Chicken chit.

Damned if you dont, damned if you do...

While I agree it seems idiotic to discipline those officers but unless they were requested by their supervisor and/or a supervisor in the community those two were helping then any and all actions taken fall outside mutual aid protections and those officers and their agency would be liable for their actions without immunity.

It sucks to hear things like this but unless they were across the street when it happened then they needed to stay home.

I am not disagreeing with the content or truthfulness of your post, but you would have to admit that it's everything that's wrong with our country. It's seems 100% ridiculous that men were willing to show up, put their life on the line to help their fellow citizens and are now being disciplined because of it. I don't want to get into politics, but I would buy those gentlemen a drink any day.
