Who may make a quality Trigger for a Remington 600

I would like to find a quality trigger for my Remington 600 Rifle. I have a Donor action that has .473 bolt face. This was a .308 Winchester that had 30 rounds thru it since new. I've had the barrel removed and a 1.25" - 7/8" 1/14 TW 6MM BR. Bison SS Bbl 28". I would like to shoot Ground Squirrels and some 100 / 300 informal targets. Thought that I would seek those that have been there before me in this quest. Doesn't have to be a 4 oz trigger but some thing lighter that the factor trigger for Varmint shooting.

Your time and answers are appreciated.

Best Regards

You would be hard pressed to do better than an Arnold Jewell trigger..

OP-
The 600/660 trigger groups CAN be worked & re-sprung quite easily to a safe 1.5-2Lb pull weight.
I'd also suggest a CNC'd anodized trigger guard from Willie Manning of Coquille Valley Machine in OR as it will be the best $80.00 trigger guard that money can buy for the 600/660's.

The 600/660 trigger lever is off-set forward to clear the aft end of the trigger guard.

Get a clue!
It's apparent that you've never had a 600/660 in your hands.

I had a old Rem Mod 7 with the old action. I put a Jewell on it... I believe that the old, as in the original, Model 7 used the old 600 action.. If I am mistaken, then I am, and I will apologize for it..

Ben, no need of any apologies here. Your input is always welcome my friend. We will find our way with the help of others.

Differences-
First production Model Sevens bottom metal(adl) differ from current production Seven(BDL) bottom metal.

An XP-100/XP-100R,600,660,Seven action/bolt body being the same length.
There are 3 different trigger groups for the above listed actions.
The above listed actions w/ the addition of the 721/722 actions are a 3 pin trigger group/bolt stop set up compared to the 2 pin trigger group/bolt stop arrangement of a 40X/700.

I will vouch for Dan's info. Been there. Jewell does not make one that will fit. Model 7 and 700 triggers interfere with the rear action screw.

Butch, I had an "original" Mod 7 action that Omar Alonzo installed a Jewell trigger on it. It was in 22-250 with a 1-8 twist... I never had a problem with the action or the trigger... I do not know, can a 'smith modify it to make it work? I don't know, all I do know is, is that I had an old Mod 7 with a Jewell on it w/o any problems.. That's all I can say..

I'm only saying the 600. My model 7s have Jewells.

I appreciate your kindness. But in this case, evidently I was mistaken.. So I do apologize for an answer that may have cost you money and aggravation..

Does anyone know if their Tactical 4 Oz Trigger has a Safety and a regular trigger blade, rather than a straight stem for actuation!

No safety, and I don't think a standard trigger could be easily retrofitted. I've had one for several months and immediately came to prefer the straight trigger. It has less contact with the finger for better touch sensitivity. I will eventually switch my other triggers over to it. A bargin at $10 more than the standard 510.

CharlieNC thnaks! I've ordered one of the Tactical Triggers to try. Should be here the first part of next week.

Thanks to all once again for your input here.
