Who ,makes a good off road tire?

Man i wish i had ur gas prices. Where im at just dropped below $4 about 2 weeks ago.

I drive a Ram 3500 Diesel Dually 4 wheel drive welding rig, 13,400 lbs with welder and equipment. At 497,000 miles on the rig I have tried just about every tire possible. With 50% highway and 50% off-road. I have found the Hercules T/G Max an extremely durable tire. Really stiff sidewalls and chip and cut resistant tread. Although they are a little noisy on pavement and the ride is a bit rougher than other tires. But I look for durability having to purchase 6 at a time.

I liked the looks of those, so dug a little deeper into them.....

Cooper made those tires for Hercules, and now since Goodyear bought out Cooper, I imagine Hercules got gobbled up in the transaction.

Not sure if that a good thing or not......

They did. Along with all of the other brands that Cooper owned. (Mickey Thompson, MasterCraft, etc). They're all a part of Goodyear now, but they're all still being made in the same Cooper plants they were being built in. I just finished my shift in one.

Holding up well...yes...little loud on hwy

Have a set of Goodyear Ultra Terrains on wife's GX 460

Holding up amazingly well...35K miles & counting

Along with a set of 285-17's BFG AT KO's on a LC...

Falkin Wildpeaks on a 2500HD Chevy...

Gary ( mule man ) passed away but in his memory I’ll say these BFG km3 are pretty good on Montana mountain roads and pretty bad on ice.

In my local area, off road tires are not for use off road - you're just not cool if your tires don't have "the look" and make noise riding down the road. One guy's son had an old jacked up 6.2L 2500 he put huge Ground Hogs on. They had a rented piece of property and the boy had torn up a mud hole with those tires. So his father took me by there one day and showed me how his Michelins would go right through with ease.
