Who makes a .308 bullet

I'm used to just one individual making bullets like Cheeks and BIB, there always constant ogive to base, so who might make a mid range bullet in a 155 or 160 gr area BT, I want something for 600 yards, I recently purchased a box of 500 Sierra MK Palma 155s, that box was constant , the next was not, it had three different measurements I would just like a bullet I can count on and not have to change seating depth or load.

call sierra nd let them know ..
right after they moved east(ok mid west) out of santa fe i had an issue and called them.
they said at the time..they no longer mix bullets from different runs in a single box.
sounds like someone did

Lapua Scenar-l's, if available. Bought the 7mm 180grain Scenar-l's, I sorta randomly selected 10 of them. Extreme spread in weight = 0.1gr. Extreme spread in base to ogive = .001". The .001 was just 1 bullet, the remaining were identical.

stool, I talk to one of the techs and he said seperate them, well he can take a flying leap, I plan on calling his boss, I have always got good bullets from them, I plan to call tomorrow.

Erik, I'm trying to stay light for recoil , I have a friggen torn rotator cuff, and I'm trrying to stay away from an operation, I should be shooting a 6BR

From what medic said about the lapua they sound good , sierra has always been that way also, will see what results I get tomorrow

Thanks guys

Lapuas are good bullets when you can find them, but they cost $20.00 a hundred more than the Sierras. At least the 180's that I shoot are $20.00 more. Sierras will shoot good if you sort them. Some guys care about cost, some don't.

medic727 as swampshooter said I looked at the lapua's man they are high dollar, but if I can't get this resolved with sierra, you can bet I will buy from powder valley when they have them in the 1000 lot.

medic727 is there a big difference in the scenar and the L seems like the L is brand new, haven't seen it anywhere but midway out of stock,

They show no BC on the L and wow it's high dollar, the scenar aren't so bad at PV $341 per 1000

The Scenar L line is made with tighter tolerances than the Scenar line.

I bought my 7mm's at Graf & Sons. In fact, I found them at Graf's thanks to a post on AccurateShooter! If looks are equivalent to performance, then these bullets will be hummers. For example, and it may be minor, the transition from bullet body to boattail is noticeably crisper than any other bullet I've inspected. Possibly, the crisp transition may reduce turbulence, hence lowering drag.

Thanks Erik and medic, if I don't get it right with sierra, I went to Grafs they have the L 1000 $465, I may get them tomorrow.

The price on the scenars are higher than other bullets. But you have to take into account what your time is worth sorting thousands of bullets according to weight and length when buying sierras or even bergers for that matter. Sorting lapua bullets is a complete waste of time. I sorted 200 once and quickly gave up cause they were all the same. I will be switching to the 7mm 180 scenars if I can get them shooting as good as my hybrid load. I heard the 180 hybrids won't be available til late august. By then the shooting seasons starting to wind down, atleast in our neck of the woods. Im completely out of 180 hybrids which is why I chambered up a 6.5x47 for my fclass rifle. Kind of sad when you have to build a gun based on what bullets you can find to load for it ::)

I just received some Bergers for my 6BR 105 Hybrids I found them to be consistent, for my 308, I'm getting some hybrids and some scenars going to see what I like, or what my gun likes, Thanks.

The JLK "swampworks" 155 VLD is very good too. I shoot the fullbore because I can't seem to plan far enough ahead to buy JLKs.

The fullbores rock at 600 and less.

the 105's hybrids are an extremely accurate bullet. I was shooting them .020 off the lands in my 6brx. They shot in the high .1s-low .2s at 200 yards. 600 yards they would tear up the fclass x ring. I had them weight sorted and tipped. I shot my best score at 600 yds with them. 1600 120x out of 1600, not a point dropped all weekend on the fclass target. One of my customers Bob Sebold was using them in his brx when he set the 200 19x 600 yard f class record. Have fun with them as they are scary accurate.
