who make this bolt action

I saw a older style bench gun at the club this weekend the action was aright bolt and left port and was made by Firearms Development Corp. I asked the guy that owns the gun and he has very little information about the gun other then it was custom build in the late 80's, he inherit the gun along with some loaded ammo and it's a shooter.
Any one know more information about this action?

Yes. Was it a three lug action with the back of the lugs at 45 degrees rather than 90?

yup, the craftsman ship is top knotch. It looks like it take a Remington style of trigger

That action was designed by Charles Poff, there was some coverage of it in Precision Shooting when new. They were offered in a variety of sizes and really are a good action but they didn't catch on commercially and faded away. Good action to have. The only other action with 45 degree lugs is the Gilkes-Ross which I reviewed in the November '05 PS. www.rossprecision.com it's a fabulous action.
