Who made these barrels??

Can anybody tell from these markings, who the manufacture is??

Awfully generic looking.
Do you have a borescope to see what the interior finish looks like? That could tell you if it is lapped or not, and possibly if it is buttoned or cut rifled.

Bottom one has a serial #, Obermeyer #’d all his barrels. Is it a 5 groove bbl?

Top one specifies 4 groove…who gives you the choice of groove in 6.5mm? Also has a 2 X…. My guess is Douglas on that one

Thanx. I'll look at the 338 barrel and see if it is a 5 groove.

How do you tell the difference between cut and button?

If there are reamer marks in the barrels yet, and the marks are in the grooves, it’s a button.
