Who is using Hornady A-TIP for 6mm?

I tried a box of A-TIP 108gr bullets in my 6BRX with mixed success.
I am curious if anyone is using these bullets with success.
I would like to know before I spend good money for these over-priced bullets.
Or, do I go with Vapor trail or similar for my new 6BRA?

I have a friend who has them shooting in a tenth in a 6bra. My choice in my 2 6 BRXs is 107 SMK.

110 atip or 108 eld? I've shot the 110 and they were very accurate, but not any better than VTV or berger 108s. Ive not tried the 108 elds.

What free bore do you anticipate using on the Ackley? This could make a difference on your bullet selection as the 108 have a long Bearing surface

Shot them in a 7 twist and a Brux 7.75 and both barrels shot in a .1 and both shot as small as .020.... Over priced ? they are the best bullets I ever measured, bar none....... jim

Had them out to 400 yds. and they held up that far. ......ES was in single digits so I'm not too concerned that they won't go the distance..... jim

what is bearing surface of the 110,s? A tip

Beats me never measured it, never matter much to me. It works in the same free bore I use for the 105's.... jim

I used the previous name of them (A-Max?) on my 6.5 Swede in a Savage with a Pac Nor barrel.
My 6 BRA barrel likes Berger 108, and Vapor Trail VTAC 103 look promising.
I picked up a 500 pack of the E-tips a few years ago on a prize table, and use them as fowler/fire forming bullets to begin a relay.
Only way to know is give them a try.

A tip is a totally different animal than an A -max, first it is 110 gr. and BC over .600 and I I sorted them by base to ogive, bearing surface and they are +- .0005 and OAL is +- .001 last is the cost and I shot them in a Br Imp and shot groups as small as .020 in barrels from 7 twist to 7.75 and they shoot good..... jim
