I wanted to write about this can a little bit as I never could find a decent review of it prior to purchasing.
They seem to get bad mouthed quite a bit because of the low price and short length.
If you’re interested in one here is a short review of it.
First off this is a full auto rated, 30 caliber can threaded 5/8x24 and measures only about 4” long. It adds roughly 3 3/4” to the barrel length.
It retails for around $300 depending on you dealer.
Biggest question out there is “does is actually make a gun hearing safe”?
Personally I believe that if you are shooting a centerfire with supersonic ammo nothing is quite hearing safe but some are better than others.
The Dirty 30 isn’t as quiet as my Varminter 3.0 from Mack bros but it’s effective. I can shoot without ear plugs and the gun isn’t terrible to shoot.
It doesn’t manage recoil quite as well as the Varminter either.
It is an effective tool for hunting and takes away muzzle flip, jump and a large portion of the loud crack of a centerfire rifle.
The best part for me, for a hunting rifle is it’s length. With my 20” barrel coyote rifle and the can on the whole thing is like carrying a 24” rifle.
They’re worth it if you want something compact and low priced.
