white groundhog

I was out shooting some groundhogs this wk and shot an albino. This is the first one that I have ever seen and was wondering just how rare they are. It was number 252 for the year.

They are very rare - if it's not too late, get it mounted!

Gotta be rare. Lets see a pic. My buddy shot a jet black one about 20 years ago.

I have an uncle that harvested 2 of them about 3 or 4 years apart on the same property back in the 1960's. Can't remember ever seeing or hearing of another around here since. A few Black ones, blonde ones, red ones (fox colored), but no white ones. Great deal on the yearly total too. Congrats. WD

I'm confused. The mounted one is the groundhog you shot a few days ago?

No. The picture that mr45man posted is not the GH shot by varminthunter. The GH, in the picture, was shot in Frederick, Co. Maryland in 2013.

The gh posted by Eddie was just to show what an albino looked like. I have the one that I shot in my freezer and I have been looking into getting it mounted. I would post some pictures if I wasn't so computer illiterate.
