Which thread size for a muzzle brake?

It will be straight barrel profile 1.25. So, which thread size would you recommend for a brake in order not to shave off half of the barrel diameter?

Check with Harrell precision as they make a variety of brakes that are gunsmith installed. Been using a variety of brake blanks from them for long time for my customers and happy.

Harrell's has 1.25 and a 1.5" OD brake that has 1" x 32 TPI threads. Not knowing how the 1.25 will truely mate up to your barrel, I would go with the 1.5" OD and turn it down seamless to the barrel’s OD.
