Which Rear Bag?

Gents,
Today I borrowed a rear "rabbit ear" style bag for our monthly 1000 yard F Class match and proceeded to shoot a new personal best; 387-9X. In the past I've used a simple bean bag style squeeze bag. I was amazed by the stability of the rabbit ear style bag and now realize I've been short changing myself. So, here's the question: is there a prevailing brand/style of bag used by F TR shooters or is it a personal preference type decision? Is it heavily dependent on stock configuration? For reference, I use a McMillan A5. Any input would be appreciated. :)

I wasn't shooting a real F TR rig today. I was shooting my 6BR with a Sinclair bipod.

I see your question was left unanswered last night. I personally like the mini-gator made by Edgewood and have noticed several people have gone to them. The grab handle model seems to be very popular now and may be the best choice. Mike

I like the Protektor style grab handle bag with rabbit rears. You can call Protektor and they will make the bag to your specs (ie. height of ears, width between ears, etc.) and send you the product usuall within a few days. Great Customer Service and quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price on the double stitched bags.

Can't go wrong with an Edgewood, they are things of beauty. I second that on the Protektor, however. I had them make up a Docter bag with a handle and 5/8" between the cordura ears with a triple stitch there. Love it, and use it for bench rest, egg shoots, F-class and practice. Service was fast and courtous. Get a folding cart from Kotula's, because it's HEAVY.

I love my SEB bigfoot bag. You can get the years at 3/8 or 1/2. My stocks fit in thier so nice. weight is about 21 pounds hvy sand. It also has a handle
