Which ammo boxes do you use for 6mmBR & 22BR

I like to use the MTM flip top ammo boxes when shooting Pdogs. It is easy to find the right ones for 223 but having trouble finding one for 22BR & assume will be the same problem for my 6mm. I have some 22-250 boxes but they are so deep it makes grabbing the shell harder. So was wondering what do you all use?

Thanks,

Bill R.

I just bought 10 of the 50ct Frankford Arsenal flip tops from Midway and I REALLY like those. The bottoms are deeper than the J&J so the empty cases stay in when you turn them upside down, but not too deep that you can not easily get your empties out 1 by 1.

Product # 630092 and at $25.99 per 10, it's not that expensive either. They come in blue and smoke.

+1 on Zombie Killer's recommendation. I really like those Frankford boxes better than the MTMs. Get the ones he recommended. They are the #512s. The Midway website recommends the #502 for the 6BR,same as a 308). However the box is too tall for the 6BR brass and you have to 'dig' it out. The #512 work prefect even for my 105 and 107s.

Luck, tiny

The Frankford boxes from Midway with a piece of 1/2' foam stick in the lid? :thumb: 6 and 22 BR loaded ammo with no rattle.
Kinda tough at times to get a round out of the corner space but a empty case fits over the bullet and makes a good handle.

I use the same boxes I use for my .308 loads MTM R-100-10....

Ditto the Frankford #512. I have six of these and they are just about ideal for 6BR. They seem a little stiffer and more solid than the MTM cases. I also have a number of the MTM, including two 100-round cases with handles, and they work well, too. Pretty much a toss-up.

I prefer the translucent models in both brands so that I can see the contents.

j and j products makes an outstanding cartridge box that holds 175 rounds in a foam based box. shells dont touch anything but closed cell foam and the tips dont touch the bottom plastic. no rattle and no damage. it is about 12 in x 6 in x 4 in. the number is LR 175 and it holds ammo up to 3.17 in in length. works for 6 br up to 243.

I grabbed some MTM R-S-50 boxes for my 6BR. They even fit my long loaded 95gr Berger VLD's quite happily. I nice fitting box but I did add a very thin layer of foam to help protect the projectile tips from the lid
