Back when i actually owned firearms i kept at least 16lbs of varget. Since i dont own any firearms anymore i poured it out

I suggest trying IMR4166... about the same speed as Varget. Everyone needs to have a secondary powder in case crap like this happens. It would be best if it were made in the good ol' USA...

Luckily I have a new 8 pounder and another 2 in a open jug. I picked up a pound of BL-C (2) to try in my AR 10 though to conserve the Varget for the .223. If I can get a good load worked up I will get some of the military pull down stuff. While I was out and about I also picked up a pound of RL 15 to play with. Having backup loads is always a good idea anyway
