Where to shoot is southwest Iowa?

Just Moved to southwest Iowa, looking for places to shoot rifles. Would like to shoot as long range as possible but would be happy to find even a 100 yard for now.

Not sure where your located but there was a club with range in Council Bluffs. Other clubs/ranges over toward Ames and that area. Also some over in Nebraska. Most are not far from SW Iowa. Check around they're there. Or they were, I left Traynor about 6 years ago.

Where are you at in SW IA? I live in SE NE. I dabble in 1,2,300 yd benchrest which there are 3 reg. ranges within 4 hours (Kansas City KS, Council Bluffs IA, Webster City IA). There is an F class range in Louisville NE. I guess I should have asked - do you want to do competition stuff or just have a place to shoot? If I can be of any help, let me know. 402-269-3146

There is a range 20 miles west of Des Moines. Its in a town called Van Meter. The rifle range goes out to 600 yards. They also have pistol ranges and stuff like that. Thats the longest range in Iowa I know of since Pella just shut down.

We're in Creston, about 2hrs from Omaha, 1.5hrs from Des Moines.
