Where to hunt deer?

The question is, having deer from a stand today should I return to same stand tomorrow. I know it seems like the thing to do but on the other hand would it be better to move to another area. Do they frequent the same multiple days or only pass thru periodically making some sort of loop.

If you saw deer today, I'd hunt the same stand tomorrow.

It wouldn't hurt to alter your position slightly based on what they did, but the same general area would be a good idea

If you know the deer pass through your stand area, either by seeing them live or on trail cams, no harm in using the same stand two days in a row (or more). As long as you can sneak in/out without causing a commotion of course.

After going heavy with trail cams the last few years it definitely shows some areas see deer daily and some are more like once a week. If you have cams and/or know the patterns that can guide you help you play the odds to a certain degree. Also depends on what you're looking for, ie big buck or freezer filler.

If I hadn’t pre scouted the area? then I guess it would depend on what I learned the first day. Might want to track a bit watching sign and glass around to see how many doe are living in the area then watch for the Bigger hoof prints and rubs.

Lots of variables! How do you feel about getting in and out without bumping deer? How much faith do you have in your second location? What type of country/terrain are you hunting? Bow? Firearm?

If the wind is right and you can get in and out without affecting them, go for it.
