where to get 6X47 Lapua brass??

To the best of my knowledge the 6.5 Lapua is not yet available to anyone, much less us po shooters in the US. The 6mm is Swiss but I'm not sure who makes it. There's a thread somewhere that is about 5 or 6 pages long that discusses it. Supposedly someone here in the US has some but just try and find who it is and how to get some. Good Luck. We're all of us still waiting. Moderator!!

It may be months before we see any of the new 6.5x47 Lapua brass in the United States. Despite promises, Lapua won't even send me a print--I suppose this is because they want the CIP standardization to be in place before they release cartridge dimensions.
RUAG makes 6x47 brass. Apparently it is not too hard to come buy within the European Community, but it is very hard, if not near impossible, to obtain here. There is no distribution system in place. You can try to deal with RUAG directly, and Corbin Shell did that, but ultimately his efforts came up empty because he couldn't raise the cash,from other shooters) to come up with the funds for a 20K piece order.
All we can do is be patient and wait for the boat from Finland to arrive.

Thank you for the response.....I am like lots of the shooters here in the US.....I think it will be the bees knees when it comes to 500-600yd events ...and should do excellnt at 1000yd also...toooo good to be true...I will just have to be patient...I have a 6mmBr that has a lot of miles on it and want to hog it out to the 6X47 and give it a go...!!!! I sent several e-mails and faxes to Ruag re the 6x47SM and even tried to telephone them - absolutely no response. Ruag simply does not seem interested in promoting their cartridge.
Does anyone know if there will be differences in case diameters between the 6x47SM and the 6.5x47 Lapua,apart from the obvious)
