Where those wads go?

Muzzleloading, where do those wads go?

When shooting a 450 grain RN "paper patch" bullet (Buffalo Arms). Loading 70 grains 2FF BP with card wad than felt lube wad another card wad than a seated bullet, when fire I cannot find any of those wads. When I shoot patch round ball I always find the patch about twenty feet or so down range. I have yet to find card wads or lube felt wads down range, are they just to small to see? I would hate to think those wads are sticking to the back of bullets that are cup base for paper patching. Free Trapper

They go downrange real fast haha. I'm guessing you are correct and they are too small to see. They are down there somewhere. Paint some orange or white and see if they show up better.
