Where have all the powder gone

For the past few weeks there have been a scare in the air. Every place I call has NO powder and can not get any. NO powder, NO shells, NO bullets. I can't even get a sig x change kit. Everyone is OUT of Stock. What is the government doing.

I was able to get my hands on some jugs of powders but NO PRIMERS. There isnt a primer to be had anywhere around here. Glad i was a Hoarder before the SUPER HOARDERS were born. ;D ;D

Be patient, wait for the smoke to clear. When prices are back to normal and manufacturing is back on track, you will buy what you need for the prices prior to the greed and paranoia. Those who paid the crazy prices for components and guns are......... screwed ;D

Just when is it expected to clear though, that is the question. I have enough to keep myself going for the next 6 months or so, but will be running short after that. How long have the previous boom-bust cycles gone for?

Yes they do, a few may be actual HAZMAT Shippers but most are not but charge the extra money for it and ship it illegally.

The only time they "gouge" people is if the people buy the item, so, nothing wrong with that since you can't rape the willing. ;D

Also $100 for 1000 primers is steep but might be worth it to avoid driving around to umpteen stores and waiting in line at the gunshows to find that the only thing the hoarders have left you are suspected water damaged box of winchesters.

If I had a truck load of AR's and could get $1900 or more for a $700 rifle I would do it . Like Eric said you can't rape the willing. If someone is willing to pay their will be those willing to sell. When you start leaving products sitting on the sellers shelf collecting dust the price will come down.

It falls on the shipper as they are the ones that Contract the shipment.

The USPS has warning posters at the counter up to a $10,000 Fine and Federal Jail Time, it all falls under the DOT for prosecution no matter how it is shipped, FEDEX, UPS or USPS.

Don't think it was this bad 4 years ago as there are more "new" shooters/buyers, at least you could get powder from 1 supplier and primers from another, if I remember all came back with stock by March 2009.

As Grandpa said, "Those that don't plan ahead from now on are unteachable".
