Where do you get a good gun case for a long barreled F-Class rig?

They make them up to 56" long. I have two of them. I'm quite pleased.

Hi Ernie,
I have used this types for years lugging around a 29 lb. bench gun. For a lighter duty try cases for either long bows or flintlock rifles.

Hi Ernie,

My 32 inch barreled rifle measure 52.something inches OAL. I have been using a soft case from Creedmoor Sports for the last few years. It's heavily padded and put together decently. I looked at the Pelican at the time and north of $400 buck for a case did not seem to be a judicious use of my money since I do not fly with my match rifle.

However, if you have a need for a hard case, Pelican is it, or you could get one custom made, I guess.

Seb - It is always a good idea to remove the barreled action from the stock when travelling by air. Then you use a fitted foam interior in a Pelican type case.

I would never trust any of my match rifles to any soft case, learned this the hard way. I also prefer a case where the rifles is not laying on its side. Strong makes a Safari type case that carries the rifle vertical. I use the two gun case's and modify them to hold just one rifle in the upright position. There SSA6009 case is perfect and it is also 57" inside.

I like my Browning Talon. I can get two F-class rifles with 30 inch Barrels in it, both with large 30MM scopes. One is a Savage and the other is a custom on a Remington 700.

It is a very heavy-duty case for $199 shipped. I have to warn you however, you will be very glad it has wheels. Not sure about a 32 inch barrel. I'll have to measure the inside.

Ernie, Optic Planet just started carrying a long rifle case. I sold a rifle that had a 34" barrel and the fella that bought it from me had 1 shipped to my house. Don't quote me on this, but I believe they can be had for about 250.00. It is not a Pelican, but it's not bad.

www.prone2success.com is the only place I could find a practical, carry-able, case for my LR rifles. Very nice soft cases.

Great case!!!! Very well padded, and my 31" barreled F-Class gun fits fine.

Just ordered one of these today for my new rig being built with a 32" finished barrel.
A friend has one and I was able to see it personally. Well padded, well made....
