If you're having trouble keeping them from flying across the room try installing/removing them inside a plastic bag.mabie i need a class on how to install/ remove them. lol—. the ones i have are 22 and 6mm bushings. thanks dave
thanks again dave — i have a very small pair of needle nose that have worked best for me. sounds like your method is better idea though. i will try it.Here's how I do it.
Tools; very small screwdriver
Hold with your left hand, place butt end against your chest, place your first finger under the e-clip, stop the rotation with your thumb, push on the clip end with your right hand. You keep the clip captured up against the reamer that way. I'm headed for the shop. I'll take a picture.
i knew about the plastic bag idea and i have launched a few of the clips. i havent used the bag idea though because its enough trying to get the clip on/off it without messing with the bag - for me anyhow— thanksIf you're having trouble keeping them from flying across the room try installing/removing them inside a plastic bag.
oic- i actually took a piece of shim stock the same thickness as groove and cut a little slot in it then pushed against both ends of clip. it kind of worked. thanks for the helpJust catch the e -clip with a small screwdriver and push it off.

thats a good idea to— thanksI use a pair of cheap snap-ring pliers where I ground one set of jaws to be thin enough to press into the C-clip slot. Stick the reamer down into a small box so that if the clip goes flying... and just put the jaws on each side of the reamer into the slot and press down.
ive got some dental pics- mabie they would work. thanksThese are also helpful. 1 dollar at the horrible freight.

i was thinking of that to cause i haveYou ever stabbed yourself with those? Horrible pain
thanks walt— thats similar to my idea with the shim stock but i think the screw driver would be alot better with the built in handle.I ground a slot in a screw driver so it pushes on both ends of the clip. It will push it enough to get it off without launching it.
Little stubby screwdriver would be perfectthanks walt— thats similar to my idea with the shim stock but i think the screw driver would be alot better with the built in handle.
