When you have problems with vendor

So on another forum I read where people are having issues with a vendor. Seems like they charge your card but don't deliver or are given the run around on fixing the issue. It's divided though between those that complain and those that claim good service.

I'm wondering why at some point these people don't just contest the charge to their CC company and ask for a refund. I myself would tell the vendor either deliver or refund by a certain date.

I once went through the state attorney general's office of consumers affairs and my issue was resolved.

Anywho has anyone had a bad experience and how did you fix it?

Well, I think much of the problems we hear about from vendors starts as a lot of behaviors one would normally ascribe to a total Karen. Someone feels like they're entitled and/or can't deal with the odd delivery of a ton of reality fresh on their doorstep that morning and gets all snitty. Work it out with the vendor. If you can't, contest the charge. If that fails, learn a lesson.

I've been waiting 4 months for a Charlie Tarac. Every time I ping them they're completely unapologetic about it taking so long. Nobody else makes the thing so I don't have a choice. I can't gripe at them for it because it's a boutique item custom made to exacting specifications and they told me it'd be a couple months in the beginning.

Just guessing: The vendor issues involve Savage rifles?
