When to chrony?

I went to the range range yesterday and finally chronied some of my loads and I noticed that first 5 had a real high es then after 5 it calmed down. Do I need to chrony after I have had some foulers?

The first shot out of a clean/oiled barrel have always been slow for me on the chrono. I put some foulers through first and then I start to chrono the rounds.

one more vote for a few fouling shots, always careful of barrel heating, but with a little experiance your rifle will let you know when it's ready to settle into it's groove.
