whats your OAL for 55-87g Varmint loads??

HI

Just wondering what sort of OAL figures you guys are getting with your varmint loads??

My reamer is a PTG .272 NK .65 FB. I'm wondering what sort of MAX OAL's I can work with??

Rifle will be 90% varmint/predator 10% paper punching out to 500 yards. 1:8 twist.

stick a bullet in the case and see if it fits in the chamber you will probably find the 55-58ggr bullets will not touch the lands but the heavier ones will you have to check each chamber as it is cut 2 are never the same just measure one with a guage.

it really depends on how much throght you got to know your oal. i set my 87gr v-max at 2.297 and that puts it in the lands .010 but it`s only seated half way in the neck. i think my reamer must of been for a 1:8 twist & not for a 1:10? try what bill said and jump or jam bullets till they shoot the way you want. i move them .005 till i see what i like.
