What's your most accurate 223, 50grn load?

In a 24" 14 twist cooper 25.7gr 8208 cci400 win brass at 3400. In an AR with 18" 8 twist I like 26 gr benchmark LC brass rem 7.5's at 3200. The above is with 50 vmax .

My rem 700 factory 24" barrel loves the 50 grain vmax with 23.5 grains of H322. With the 40 vmax a charge of 24.5 grains H322 is one ragged hole. Win brass, Rem 7 1/2 primers.

What is your most accurate 223, 50grn load?
I have only one 12 twist .223 Remington, a mid 1980s manufactured, S&W badged Howa that doesn't like any 50 grainers. However it loves 22.8 grains of H-322 under some old 52 grain A-Max that I've had for years.
This is the rifle that onelastshot was referring to when he referenced individual rifles each having their own preferences. Lots of .223's that perform well with multiple loads, not this one. A reason to learn metric threading when this barrel goes south.

I've got a mid 90's model R700 12t, seems to like the 50g dogtowns spitzers with 24.5g and 25.3g of varget, both produce 3 shot groups of <.40" on a good day, and the 50g zmax with 25.6g of varget for a .30" 3 shot group. Need to try 5 shot groups next.

Well my rifle likes RL-10x and only 21.0 grains for a whopping 2950 fps. with 50 v-max.
Will also shoot the 53 grain v-max at 3050 fps. with the same load. This is in a 9 twist...the accuracy was so
good I decided to leave it right where it's at. I will also add that I have shot over 3000 rounds
and this rifle is still shooting very accurate. :)

In my 40 plus years of shooting, I've learned a couple of things; one basic one is that each any every firearm is self specific as to what it likes in terms of ballistics. In short, every rifle has its own specific choice of cartridge. Two seemingly identicle firearms will have completely different preferences in terms of bullets, powder and charges.

N133 may be part of the perfect recipe for your rifle while mine loves H4350. You can't even begin to decide what going to work for you and your 6br just because mine happens to have a preference for it.

All you have to do is look at the prior dozen posts and appreciate 12 completely different recipes to understand what I'm getting at.

So, so true!!!
