What’s wrong with Corbin bullet dies

I’m thinking about getting some bullet making dies and a press but Corbin doesn’t seem to get much of a good name or following, thanks for any replies

Last I knew, there were TWO Corbin brothers building bullet making dies and presses. They started out together, but the divorce was far from amicable. My opinion, based mostly on the rumor mill is that neither has anything good to say about the other. There is also the fact that as far as I know, they focus on hunting bullets.

On a tangent; Blackmon is the siamese twin of the nefarious Doc Brewer, and they are more focused on cast bullet reshaping dies. The press Blackmon sells is an variation on the old SAS Mity-mite horizontal press from Oregon. Think WWII

Doc once told me that he began doing the water pressure tooth removal about 35 years ago. An elderly customer came with a bad tooth, and asked Doc to remove it. So Doc, uses the painless high pressure method to wash the tooth out. 15 seconds or so. The gentleman complained at the desk when paying the bill; that is seemed a lot of money for 15 seconds in the chair. Doc told me he told the patient he could take a lot longer on the next one if it would make him feel better...

Could you point me that way too?

I bought a bunch of 38 Special JHP bullets and want to size them for 357 SIG...

Corbin sells a die but it's $180, the payoff will take far too long.

I'm interested in any less expensive options.

George isn’t on here daily. A couple years ago I sent him a pm with questions and left him my email. It took a few days and he did respond. His prices are very fair for good equipment. Jacket availability is the big hold up for what I was interested in though.

Here is a thought...… Sell the 38 special bullets (even if you take a 10% hit on them) and buy the right bullets for the caliber you want to shoot them in...…
No money spend on a die or press..... AAAANNNDDDDDD...… no time invested in labor....
