What's the best primer for 300 Winchester Magnum?

Hey experienced reloaders. I'm about to pull the trigger on an online order of 1000 primers and 8 pounds of Hodgdon H1000 powder. Unfortunately, it will have to be purchased online through Sinclair (powder on sale save me some mula $$$) since the closest local store that has the "stuff" is so far away that it's better off paying the HAZMAT fee and S&H. My question is which do you think F210M, F215M or CCI BR2 primers would be best when it comes to long-range accuracy in a 300 WinMag? I plan on shooting Berger 210's on top of ~77 grains of H1000 if that helps.

if you are in to saving money, go to powder valley or bruno shooters, buy about 10,000-50,000 wolf large rifle mag primers and buy about 50 pounds of powder. it will save you in the long run. and those wolf primers are great!!!!

Buy 1000 Federal 215 Gold Medal Match primers and don't look back. They will be the best all around primer for your needs as far as consistency and accuracy.

I am a fan of the CCI large Rifle Mag primer. I have tried all the others except for the Wolf mag primers. They do work good in the smaller stuff I have tried. Only your rifle will tell you what it likes. For me I have never gotten any accuracy from Winchester Mag primers. That stinks because that is what gets used in all my 308’s and smaller. Federal seem to be ok but never got me happy with group size. In my rifles they do make nice “hunting” loads.

In my 300WM I am shooting a max load of H1000 a 220gr SMK, FC brass with a CCI LRM primer. My bullets are also coated with HBN.

I try Win primers in everything because I have 20,000 of them and in the 6 magnum rifles I load for they do not work but the CCI are good to go. On a side note those Win Mag primers do make my 1919 shoot really well. Go figure.

In my new 7mm rem mag with 70gr of H1000 168 Berger, CCI250 was better than F215M by a small amount at 300yds. I have heard that F210M will some times work but I have not tried. I go with mag primer for cold weather as this is a long range hunting rifle.

I use Federal 215M for anything over 65 grains.
I'll second the above, it is one of the rules I've always followed even if a load manual doesn't show a mag primer. I've noticed for 7mm Rem Mag some manuals like a regular primer.

Sorry, but I'm not a fan of Wolf primers either.

Wow guys than you so much for all your input. I think I will go with the Federal 215M primers. I was looking at F215M primers anyways before this, I just wanted to make sure this was the best there was. Thanks guys
