whats a good 9 mm load 124 gr for target shooting

I use 4.0 or 4.1 gr Titegroup for 124 grainers.

However... for target work I prefer 147 grainers with 3.4 or 3.5 gr Titegroup.

I use these loads in a P226 and a Q5 Match. Mixed brass and for primers either S&B, or Fed100 or cci500 or WinSP or Rem5.5... in other worlds,,, whatever primer floats my boat that day.

I also use Viht.N-320 at the same changer weight as Titegroup. But use TG 90% of the time. didn't find any accuracy difference between those 2 powders.

I always used AA#7 and a 124 round nose with CCI SP primers. It meters well and is accurate out of several guns. I even run it out of an AR and it performs well. I don't load pistol much anymore but that powder has always worked well for me. I do not run them hot either, about a 1/2-3/4 power load.

For accuracy, 2.8 gr bullseye behind 115 or 125 gr lead bullets, Win. Fed. Rem., Or Rentech primers. Very light load but I've not ever had a FTF.

During one of the “O” component scarcities, all I could find for the 9mm was Winchester WSF, it works very well, meters smoothly. Winchester’s loads vary depending on FMJ or lead bullets. Take a look if interested at...
