What velocity 308 200 gr

I am trying 2000 MR with 200.20x Berger in my new Eliseo .308. The barrel is 1/10 29.5 inches. New Palma brass.

I have just started load testing and I stopped with no signs of excessive pressure but felt 2708fps average was about as high as I should go. Small sample but ES was 3 with SD1.4

The 200 gr from this length barrel is new to me so not sure if I am beyond normal expectations or not. From my 28 inch barrel with Varget I ran 2620fps

That's a pretty common area guys are running the X bullet (2700-2720 ish). I ran them in Texas championship last weekend in that range and they shot well but I was using a 31 inch barrel. On Saturday it got up to 90 degrees and I was still fine pressure wise but I wasn't using 2000MR and my chamber is throated pretty long. 2000MR gives really good velocity but is definitely more temp sensitive than the Hodgdon Extreme powders, if you're not right on the edge pressure wise you may be ok in hot temps but you'll have to test to find out. I used 2000MR for a while a few years ago in FTR but switched back to Hodgdon powders.....Good luck.

Thanks Down South that's what I needed.
Have had this rifle a while now but was waiting until temps were at least mid 80's to tinker with it since that's the minimum end of the temperature range I will use it in.
I have read about the sensitivity and may end up back with Varget.
