thats looks just like itLooks like a grey rat snake to me. A very common, beneficial, non-venomous snake. I hope you weren't responsible for his "condition".
Can't say it was from me, It was in the road while walking the dog today. we do have 3 or 4 types of poisonous snake around the bluff's and around the river. I haven't seen too many grey snakes...that's what caught my attention.Looks like a grey rat snake to me. A very common, beneficial, non-venomous snake. Since it is dead already you can easily identify any venomous snake in Missouri, and I believe the rest of the U.S., by looking at their belly. If there is a single row of scales all the way to the tail they are venomous. If there is a single row to the anus and then a double row from their back to the tail is is not venomous. Can't say it was from me, It was in the road while walking the dog today. we do have 3 or 4 types of poisonous snake around the bluff's and around the river.
