What type of rests for 50yd bench match?

Go to cheaper than dirt , item # GSN-001 . This is the SR300 bench rest for just under 40 bucks. Does the job real well for your ruger .It ain't a world class rest but does the job. I use a 35 year old rest somewhat like it at our club /fun matchs and allows simple vertical ajustments. Then buy a standard rear bag and make up several square pieces of plywood with dowels that can help control a stack and spay glue some rubber to the top to control your rear bag. You can just cross tie some rabbit ears on it or make up a slide support to bolt to it. Depends on your stock profile. I have a bolt and a 10/22 and can shoot in the .250 to.300 with mine at 50 yards and don't place near the top but the couple other semi-auto guys and I compete against each other. I to have some kidd parts .

Should be GNS-001. I don't have a 10/22, but it looks like a good rest. The OP has self-modified it, but Caldwell makes sandbags for the rest and also rabbit ears for the rear of the stock.

Stevenorlando, yes, ARA allows any rest, one piece or two. In IR 50/50, it depends on the type of match. In their 3 gun class (sporter, 10 1/2 pound and 13 1/2 pound) you must use a two piece rest with sand bags. In the IR 50/50 unlimited class it's the same as ARA, any rest one or two piece. As far as the rules in RBA go, I do not know as I have never shot one of their matches. I shot two different Bald Eagle two piece front rest and then a Von Ahrens rest in ARA. When I got into shooting IR 50/50 I went to a Farley coaxial with Butch Lamberts tension screws and Edgewood bags and a mini-gater rear bag. If you can, you should attend a match Factoryville.

For club level, Caldwell rock BR or their Fire control rest is good with a Protektor or Caldwell rear. For pure comp a Farley Coaxial II and gator rear bag. Expect to spend A LOT of your cash for a Farley but then it would be hard to buy a better front rest period.
