What twist for 53 vmax in 22-250?

Anyone have different twist 22-250 and try the 53 vmax?

I have a 12t that is going on my 22-250 with the purpose of shooting the 53gr VMAX. Two 12t 223 rifles shoot this bullet well for me.

Two 22-250, 12 twist that I built to shoot the 53 gr. V-max and the 60 gr. Sierra TMK.

best would be 1/12, maybe even a 1/10. Most would probably go with a 1/12,

Don't worry about over spinning that bullet. I shoot the 53 V-Max in two rifles. 22PPC @ 3400fps with a Pac-Nor 12-twist barrel and a 22 Dasher @ 3915fps with a Kreiger 8-twist Barrel and have shot them a touch over 4000fps in my 22 Dasher however, the ES & SD increased so I went back to 3915fps. I also tried them in a 22BR with a 7 twist Kreiger barrel. All three twists shot that bullet extremely well.

9 twist shoots them great in my 223. 12 is probably the ideal barrel but my 9 really shines with them.

I shoot the 53g Vmax in a 7 twist 223 around 3250 PD's Hate it--always shoots very well--never an issue I did not buy that barrel for the 53 but discovered it does work just fine
I like that bullet so much I have wondered what would be the ideal twist where you could zing them fast as you wanted to with no problems

Who barreled your rifles?

I did. One is an X-caliber that shoots well, the other is a Krieger that shoots even better. I won't be using X-caliber again. Both have been set back once already.

I built the stocks also.
